Donations for alternative hosting provider trial

I have been researching an alternative provider to Amazon’s EC2 and have identified a promising option. Unfortunately the sipsorcery sponsorship only covers Amazon’s EC2 so an alternative source of funding would need to be found to move hosting providers. To that end I have put up a Donations page which runs through the costs and arrangements.

Aaron, thanks for setting this up. I’d be willing to put some money in for the 2 accounts I have on SS. Is it possible to know how many active users/accounts there are of the SS service so a donation/account figure can be worked out? Cheers

Just under 2000 accounts have made or received a call in the last 3 days.

I gave $30. Both my mother and I use it and are very grateful.

I sent a donation. I feel like I should donate more. I appreciate all your hardwork and sipsorcery is a very cool project.

Are you aware of an option that would allow one to donate to a project such as yours without revealing one’s real-world identity?

You could send me a lump of gold in the post. Just say the word and I’ll give you my address :).

Apart from that the Send Money option on PayPal only reveals the email address of the sender so if you used an anonymous email address you would not reveal anything. Similarly with MoneyBookers although that will only be good for you if you are outside the US.
